IIDA and Tandus invite design professionals who work with public-sector clients to the 2008 Government Forum.
This important session will feature world-renowned, Industrial Designer Yves Béhar as keynote speaker.

About the IIDA and Tandus Partnership:
As the industry quakes as the present economic difficulties recall the bloodletting earlier this decade, thoughts inevitably turn toward areas less struck by business cycles. Those include government work and, as if to create some silver lining the IIDA (International Interior Design Association) and Tandus are collaborating to produce a series of events in 2008 for government designers, and in particular members of IIDA's Government Forum. IIDA Government Forum members focus on the quality of interior design in public and government facilities at the federal, state, and municipal levels. The collaboration with Tandus is a step in the IIDA's commitment to offering programs directly relevant to this growing sector of the profession.
Programs are currently being planned for October 29, 2008 as part of NeoCon East in Baltimore. The program will be held from 10 a.m. - noon at the Baltimore Convention Center. In addition to the Baltimore Government Forum educational session, IIDA will
unveil the winners of its inaugural Excellence in Government Design Awards in a presentation on the show floor later that day.
"We are excited about this new collaboration with IIDA and anticipate a long future
for it," said Ross Leonard, Director, Architecture and Design Marketing, Tandus.
"While good design is vital for all types of clients and projects, design excellence in
government buildings benefits all of us. For Tandus, we want to be an intellectual partner
to the profession and help promote the value of design in this segment."
